  • Sending videos to Chromecast and Roku devices

  • Option added to clear data when quitting

  • Enhanced tab management:

    • Undo a closed tab
    • List recently closed tabs
    • Close all tabs at once
    • Quick switch-to-tab option when opening a new or private tab
  • Slimmer and faster JavaScript strings

  • New CSP (Content Security Policy) backend

  • Form elements updated to a more modern look

  • Locales added: Aragonese [an], Frisian [fy-NL], Kazakh [kk] and Khmer [km]


Web Platform

  • Support for the ECMAScript 6 Symbol data type added

  • DOMMatrix interface implemented

  • @counter-style rule from CSS3 Counter Styles specification implemented

  • WebCrypto: RSA-OAEP, PBKDF2 and AES-KW support

  • WebCrypto: wrapKey and unwrapKey implemented

  • WebCrypto: Import/export of JWK-formatted keys


  • Fix incomplete downloads being marked as complete by detecting broken HTTP1.1 transfers (237623)

  • MP4 videos will not play on Android L

  • Flash does not work on Android L

  • On Gingerbread, VP9/WEBM video artifacts: only plays on half screen
