Version 88.0beta, first offered to Beta channel users on March 23, 2021

Firefox Beta gets updated several times per week and as a consequence, the release notes for the Beta channel are updated continuously to reflect features that have reached sufficient maturity to benefit from community feedback and bug reports. In addition to these release notes, you can follow ongoing development on our @FirefoxBeta Twitter account.

Smooth pinch-zooming using a touchpad is now supported on Linux under Wayland.
We keep on working on improving our PDF forms support and now support JavaScript embedded in PDF files (some PDF forms use JavaScript for validation and other interactive features). If you find any bug with this feature, please file an issue on the PDF.js repository

Fixed an issue with Firefox for Android where video playing in fullscreen or picture-in-picture mode would not display correctly on sites using a desktop viewport.

The Take a Screenshot feature was moved from the Page Actions menu in the url bar into a regular icon you can add to your toolbar from the customize menu.
FTP has been disabled in Firefox Release 88. The implementation is planned to be removed in Firefox 90.
