End of support for Firefox Lockwise

Mozilla ended support for the Firefox Lockwise app on Android and iOS, effective December 13, 2021. Its functionality has been integrated into the Firefox for Android and iOS mobile browsers. You are no longer able to install or reinstall Firefox Lockwise from the App Store or Google Play Store. iOS version 1.8.1 and Android version 4.0.3 are the last releases for Firefox Lockwise. The application may continue to work on your device, but it will no longer receive support or security updates.

Since December 13, 2021, you still have access to your saved passwords and password management in the Firefox desktop and mobile browsers.

If you already have a Mozilla account

  1. Sign in to your Mozilla account.
  2. Sync your login credentials between your Firefox desktop, Android and iOS browsers.

If you have Firefox Lockwise but aren’t using a Firefox browser

  1. Download the browser and create a Mozilla account.
  2. Sync your login credentials between your Firefox desktop, Android and iOS browsers.

Enable system-wide autofill

Firefox for Android (version 93 and above)

  1. Tap the menu button. Settings icon in address bar in android

  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap Logins and Passwords.
  4. Switch the toggle next to Autofill in other apps on to bring up the Android Autofill Service menu.
  5. Tap Firefox and tap OK.

Firefox for iOS (version 40 and above)

  1. Open the Settings app on your phone.
  2. Tap Passwords.
  3. Tap AutoFill Passwords.
  4. Tap Firefox.
