The Opportunity

Are you eager to build a better internet? Join Mozilla’s marketing team as the Head of Lifecycle Media. We are looking for someone who is a passionate marketer, particularly in the email lifecycle space. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of acquisition and retention strategies, is audience-first in their approach and will be able to adapt their knowledge into strategies for Mozilla’s business. They are excited about digital marketing and want to balance established tactics with experimentation and emerging trends. They are comfortable analyzing data, understanding consumer insights and connecting these into business narratives. 

This is a managerial role reporting to our Director of Activation.

What You'll Get To Do

  • Oversee a team of email marketing managers across all product areas
  • Build the vision and roadmap for Lifecycle Media at Mozilla, including a recommendation on the tools and resources needed to build out the function
  • Develop automated lifecycle marketing journeys across email and in-browser to increase subscriber retention and renewal rates.
  • Collaborate with the Editorial and Comms teams to deliver a cohesive narrative to our subscribers and followers
  • Collaborate with our Paid Media team to map the complete picture across paid and owned channels
  • Analyze and report on results and identify and apply key findings to future activations
  • Work cross-functionally with Product, Data Science, Creative and PMM to build strategic marketing initiatives that map back to business goals and product roadmaps

What You Bring

Minimum Qualifications

  • 8+ years of Lifecycle experience, with a focus on email marketing
  • 3+ years managing a team
  • Proven track record of acquiring and retaining users through Lifecycle initiatives
  • Experience operationalizing & implementing processes and leading multiple projects - process and attention to detail/organization are second nature to you
  • Well-versed in data analysis, consumer audience insights and connecting them into business narratives
  • Strategic mindset that can see the big picture while managing the individual pieces
  • Deep knowledge of email best practices, including email deliverability, A/B testing, dynamic content, responsive HTML/CSS design
  • Experience operating Braze, Acoustic, or similar marketing automation/ESP platform
  • Curiosity and interest in following digital trends in marketing and media
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
