Title: Buffer overflow with multi-column, lists, and floats
Impact: Critical
Announced: September 17, 2013
Reporter: Aki Helin
Products: Firefox, Thunderbird, Seamonkey

Fixed in: Firefox 24.0
  Firefox ESR 17.0.9
  Thunderbird 24.0
  Thunderbird ESR 17.0.9
  Seamonkey 2.21

Description

Security researcher Aki Helin reported that combining lists, floats, and multiple columns could trigger a potentially exploitable buffer overflow.

In general this flaw cannot be exploited through email in the Thunderbird product because scripting is disabled, but is potentially a risk in browser or browser-like contexts.
