JavaScript is a small, lightweight, object-oriented, cross-platform scripting language that was pioneered by the Netscape browser and is now an industry standard called ECMAScript that is supported by the Mozilla community and other browser vendors.

The XML Binding Language (XBL) is used to bind elements to scripts, style sheets, event handlers, and other elements. Bindings can be stored in separate documents allowing the behavior of elements to be changed without complicating the markup itself.

The XML User Interface Language (XUL) is used to build feature-rich cross platform applications and add-ons that extend the functionality of existing Mozilla-based programs. Web developers will learn XUL quickly and can start building applications right away.
