For Windows, Mac and UNIX the name of the preferences files is "prefs.js".
Pref migration and the account manager / wizard are working. (If you have problems, please log bugs.)
This means you can either migrate your 4.x prefs, or you can use the account manager to set up pop, imap, and news accounts.
To migrate on Windows, do this:
- mozilla.exe -installer
To migrate on UNIX, do this:
- mozilla -installer
To migrate on Mac:
- run the "Mozilla Installer" script
You should not be editing your prefs.js by hand. If you feel you need to, its probably a bug on our part, and you should log a bug.
