Thunderbird Extended Support Release (ESR) is intended for groups who deploy and maintain the desktop environment in large organizations such as universities and other schools, county or city governments and businesses.
Who is it not for?
It's not for individuals or smaller organizations that always want the latest features, performance enhancements and technologies in their email client. If you want those features, please go to the Thunderbird download page here.
If you qualify for Thunderbird Extended Support Release, follow these steps
Step 1.
Before proceeding, we strongly encourage Thunderbird ESR users to sign up for the Thunderbird Enterprise (tb-enterprise) mailing list. The tb-enterprise list is a great place to discuss deploying Thunderbird with other community members and is the only way to receive regular communications regarding Thunderbird ESR updates and support.
